Memory Foam Travel Pillows Compared
Memory foam is the most common filling for neck pillows, but the products built around it differ in closure, cover care and bulk. This guide puts the options UK shoppers can buy directly first, and explains how the alternatives compare.

Why memory foam pillows differ
Foam holds its shape under pressure and slowly recovers. The trade-off is bulk: foam cannot be deflated, so it takes noticeably more space and weight than an inflatable (the foam pillows below that publish a weight range from 312g to 420g).
Because the foam core usually isn't washable, the cover matters. Several manufacturers confirm a removable, washable cover; others don't say.
Options sold directly in the UK
Go Travel Ultimate 3.0: a magnetic front closure with three fit settings, a non-slip rear grip, a side pocket and a removable cover washable at 30°C; 345g and 28.5 × 27 × 13 cm. Go Travel calls it memory foam; its specification lists the core as PU foam.
Go Travel Memory Dreamer: a contoured foam pillow with a tapered rear, a fully adjustable front closure and a cover washable at 30°C; 312g. Go Travel confirms no pouch is included.
American Tourister Travel Pillow: a U shape listed at 11.5 × 30 × 29 cm and 0.4 kg by American Tourister UK. The memory foam description and button fastening come from John Lewis's listing, which gives a slightly different weight (0.35 kg).
Samsonite TA Revolution Memory Foam Pillow/Pouch and Ergonomic Memory Foam Pillow: both have removable fleece covers; the first has an attached pouch, the second an adjustable buckle. Samsonite does not publish weights or sizes. (Samsonite's TA Revolution Reversible Pillow is bead-filled, not memory foam, so it isn't listed here.)
Alternatives from specialist brands
Ostrichpillow Go publishes a 420g weight, 28 × 30 × 17 cm dimensions, a full material breakdown and a machine-washable cover, and says it compresses by up to 60%. Cabeau Evolution S3 documents a washable cover, carry case and fastening system but no weight or size. Both are priced in US dollars on their official stores.

Who memory foam may suit — and who may prefer something else
